President Obama's Birth Certificate Issue = Veiled Bigotry/Racism

President Obama re-released his birth certificate, and bigots, unaware of their own displays of bigotry for the last 2 and a half years, are silenced. Sad that some thought of this as a valid issue when so much needs to be fixed in the US of A.
Of course they will find another problem with him, because he can never become the old, rich, white man that they desire. I think Americans of all political stripes should rejoice. Why? Well, this at the least shows how our country has moved further forward than backwards. We have a president who is not white, not that anything is wrong with a white President. We also have remained true to our US history. A black man breaks a barrier and the bigots, as usual, and as seen all throughout US history come out in force to character assassinate the black, American born, man. Remember not too long ago Martin Luther King Jr, was a terrorist and bad for America. Now Dr. King is an American hero with whom we could not imagine our great country. Bigots and Racist will never win over the will of the people, because all their views and opinions are steeped in hate. The American people, while most of the times distracted, can smell hate a mile away. Thank God for that, and God Bless America.

Alright Already! Trump We Get It, Your Jealous of Obama.

I tend to think of the wealthy as being reserved, self confident, and sensible. Kind of an American version of the classic English gentleman. One endowed with impeccable manners, making him enviable and admirable in the eyes of even his rich ilk.
As a child I had my dad buy me the Trump board game. I loved it, not because it was more fun than Monopoly, but because I loved the black and gold. Trumps game exuded modern day American wealth, class, and power in my eyes. Mr. Trump where is the back & gold in your personality?
For some time now, I have heard you come on American television and try to trash and character assassinate our American President. First you pretend that you think he wasn't born in the United States, which you are smart enough to know is a lie perpetuated by bigots and less educated voters. Now you claim President Barack Obama did too poorly in school to be accepted into Columbia and Harvard Law.
Mr. Trump, you project an image of a man with great untold riches, and widely know successes, but you sound envious of Barack Obama. I'm sure you'll disagree, but this you should know. Any man that claims to think so highly of himself, as you do, would have long ago tossed aside that tired  hair do, which may as well be a toupee. Nor does a man of your stature need to besmirch the name and reputation of a man (President Barack Obama) who has only tried to do right by this country. Is there a finishing school for old, wealthy, males in this country, if so enroll quick.

Denial, Decadence, & Corruption in the halls of Washington Begins Within Us

Speaker of the House (R) OH John Boehner
Senator Ben Nelson (D) NE

Senator Chris Dodd (D) CT

Former Gov of Massachusetts Mitt Romney
It would seem to me that we Americans live in an age of denial and decadence. Our elected officials on the federal level are faced with the looming predicament of a government shutdown http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Government_shutdown feel free to do your own research on what it is entails. Yet, those elected officials still plan on getting their full paycheck, on time. Patriotism is more than wearing a flag pin on your lapel, or using the words "freedom" & "liberty" repeatedly in speeches. It is being an elected official and remembering the lives of your constituents, and sacrificing when they have had to do so themselves. Politicians are apart of the upper class of American life, having access to the richest and most powerful people, not just in the nation, but sometimes on the planet.
As an American, I must admit my own failings as a citizen. Most of the things that go on in government, the deals that get done, the people involved, the details of the issues, I know very little about. Which is why I can say that I am just another American living in denial of how my government works. It is truly my government, just as it is yours, assuming you are an American citizen reading this blog post. When I say my government and yours, I mean to say that the people elected are not elected by some intangible "they" or people from the other political party. We, the America people, of which ever district, have elected this person to represent us in Washington DC or a local area. We each have to own up to the decision to send that person to be our voice. If you disagree with the choice, you should try again, at the ballot box.

When a former Republican Congressman Hosts a show on a Liberal Network You Have to Watch

Shocked and annoyed, what was I felt when I noticed this, Morning Joe show on MSNBC was hosted by former Republican congressman Joe Scarborough. I wondered how the hell this man got a show on MSNBC when FOX news was more in line with his political leaning. Like any fair citizen would, I watched. Immediately I was impressed by the attention to detail of the graphics used, the music, the product placement (Brewed by Starbucks), and the guests.
Still, I found Joe Scarborough to be the same smug & self righteous politician he was while he was in congress. Conspicuously, Joe had toned down his right-wing rhetoric while on MSNBC, but still slyly crafting questions to evoke answers that mirrored his true right-wing nature and beliefs. During the first days of the war in Libya, in one hour he had referred to the conflict as an "African civil war" multiple times. Surely wishing to lead viewers to be against our involvement, by pointing out it was a war between darker people, on the dark continent. It seemed to me to be a modern take on the Southern strategy way of politicing these days. Trying to subtly scare the middle American white voters.
Fortunately the show is co-hosted by the intellectually curious, & stunningly beautiful Mika Brzezinski. She brings us back to reality, when Scarborough takes off on one of his flights of right-wing fancy disguised as pragmatical moderation rants. While you will find Mika to be authentic, refreshing, & down-to-Earth; Joe is mostly disingenuous, sometimes closed-minded, and embracing of good ol boy Republican discriminatory humor. I do, however, think his time on MSNBC has softened his hard right wing edges. Sometimes he seems to be genuine in his pragmatism, sometimes.
In any case Morning Joe is one of my favorite morning shows. I've become an addict, and a fan of both Joe & Mika, and look forward to seeing them each and every morning. The pace of the show will keep you enraptured, the guests will keep you intrigued, and the topics will keep you entertained and informed. It's better than the Today Show, GMA, or the Early show, so give it a try.
Morning Joe airs 6am to 9am EST on MSNBC

Divas in Congress Battle Obama, Gingrich Switches Sides, Council On Foreign Relations Wants More Oil Before Going to War

Supporting a third war sounds odd during a time of financial turmoil in the United States. Fortunately, President Obama is not interested in being in Libya for a long period of time, nor does he desire to have American forces command and control the mission. Which is why I am okay with us going to Libya to support NATO.
The President's error was not talking to the divas in congress before going all the way in on Qaddafi. Although, I believe congress would have voted to go into Libya anyway. They are human, and have egos of their own that need stroking, which is why they are trying to make this ruckus about not being consulted. DC Republicans, always in favor of war, especially with Muslims, have taken this opportunity to try to bash President Obama. They say he waited too long, and I agree partially. President Obama did take longer than I would have liked to get this Odyssey Dawn thing going. But I said "I agree partially" because DC Republicans are being inauthentic. The truth is they want us in Libya, they want Qaddafi out, and they covet the Libyan oil. They are upset because President Obama has decided to let NATO, specifically France take the lead which means we won't be able to get the oil. To them there is no point in going to Libya, if not for the oil. The desire of the Libyan people means very little to DC Republicans. Freedom & democracy is something only reserved for American born people, specifically ones that share their skin color.

Qaddafi & The Libyan People: My Own Personal Thoughts

I must admit that I find Qaddafi to be a man that evokes an involuntarily chuckle from me whenever I see him in pictures or video. His attire, abundantly packed with flamboyance rivaling any eccentric entertainer. The speeches filled with the ravings of a mad man worthy of being labeled a despot or dictator. Yet, this man has managed to hold onto power in Libya for more than forty years.
I'm American, so I expect that the picture of Qaddafi that my own government has fed me is tainted with propaganda and bias. I had no knowledge of who Qaddafi really was, or why he might have feelings of mistrust regarding the American government.
When I saw the revolts in Libya, initially I didn't pay close attention. What got my attention was Qaddafi. A man loomed over my room from my television screen. He looked very peculiar, almost like an old Hollywood actor that had a bad cosmetic surgeon or wore too much makeup.
What I heard was, of course, a foreign tongue. I listened for about a half hour trying to see if I felt that he was as crazy as my government had been telling me for years. My expectation was that he would be a pretty normal guy, despite the fact that it looked like he was giving this defiant speech from inside an abandoned warehouse. What I felt from listening to this foreign tongue, & the odd sounding translator was anger, delusion, & denial.
Qaddafi didn't want to give up power, nor does he have any plans on doing so now. His intention was to

Cast of Characters in Libya Better Than Soap Opera

The hottest soap opera currently on the world stage is Libya. A tale filled with actors so deliciously devious that even the short attention span of the casual American news viewer is captured. We have Qaddafi, a man with no official title, he has led this North African nation for over 40 years! Now get this, Qaddafi has 7 sons, 2 of them, Saif & Mutassim wrestle with one another to become the next leader of Libya. Saif is said to lean more towards reform for the Libyan government, while Mutassim is rumored to be the hardliner, & less interested in the western ways of governing.
